Reflection

In the midst of a happy and satisfied life, there comes an insight that within us there is a desire for something more profound. As our lives seem to be speeding by, we sometimes experience longings that are signals to us of our deep desire for God. There also come moments when we feel a union with nature, the universe, another person, or are moved by the beauty and innocence of a child or a loved pet. These moments touch a deep well of peace and joy within us. There is an awareness of indefinable Mystery. God is near.

Prayer

May I become more attentive to God’s presence and action in my daily routine.

Action

At the end of the day, ask yourself how God was present and active in your life that day. Reflect for a few moments on such experiences.
