Cultural Clues in the Neighborhood
October 28, 2023 - 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
- This event has passed.
In this presentation, S. Annelle Fitzpatrick, CSJ, PhD, will give a brief sociological overview of many of the “Cultural Clues” that will be useful in identifying new immigrant populations. IT is hoped that by learning to identify some of the salient identifying clues (i.e., hijab, dupatta, khanda, tzitzits, jhandi flags, bindis, cultural greetings, etc), participants might be able to build stronger bridges of understanding of the “Dear Neighbor” (Pizza lunch will be served)
