Lenten Retreat Day: The Seven Last Words of Christ

We can make the last week of our Lenten Journey more meaningful by meditating on the Seven Last Words spoken by Jesus from the Cross. Through prayer, reflection, and music, we are drawn more deeply into the Paschal Mystery, the unconditional gift of God’s love for us.

Carol Mackey has been involved in pastoral ministry for almost thirty years. Having been trained through a variety of lay formation programs in the Diocese of Rockville Centre, LI, she ministers as a spiritual director, retreat facilitator, and bereavement counselor. She is also a retired teacher (25 years teaching grades K-5 in NYC public schools), the mother of two grown children, and grandmother to three precious little ones —all of whom teach her so much about God’s unconditional love.
