Carolyn Osiek is a Charles Fischer Catholic Professor of New Testament Emerita at Brite Divinity School, Texas Christian University, previously Professor of New Testament at Catholic Theological Union, Chicago. She holds a doctorate in New Testament and Christian Origins from Harvard University and is a past president of the Catholic Biblical Association of America and of the Society of Biblical Literature. She is the author of many books and articles on the New Testament and Early Church, and is now Archivist, Society of the Sacred Heart, U.S.-Canada Province.
