Spirit Alive: The American Catholic Story: Telling the Story Anew Minicourse

January 28, 2025 - 7:00 pm - February 25, 2025 - 7:00 pm

A five-week minicourse conducted by historian Dr. Thomas Rzeznik
Tuesdays, Jan. 28 – Feb. 25
7 p.m. EST

History is not just a chronicle of the past, but the stories we share. This series will reexamine common American Catholic narratives and explore some of the ways that recent historical scholarship contributed to a richer and more complex understanding of U.S. Catholic history, including confronting some of the more challenging realities of the past. It will encourage us to consider how the stories we tell can serve the church’s ongoing mission today.

Location: via Zoom

IMPORTANT – PLEASE NOTE: If you register for the first session of this five-week minicourse presentation, you are automatically registered for all five sessions within the course and will receive a link 24 hours before each session starts. You do not have to attend all sessions.
