Women’s Retreat: Women Beneath the Cross

Our focus will be on the mystery of suffering. We will explore the journey of Mary Magdala and Mary, the Mother of Jesus as they painfully and helplessly stand beneath the Cross of Jesus. As you experience being with a loved one or friend as they passively walk into their last stage of life, ask yourself: Is this the
same as being beneath the Cross of the Suffering Jesus? If you experience moments of struggle to understand cognitive impairment or terminal/chronic illness, in what way do you feel accompanied by Jesus in your suffering or perhaps a crisis of faith? Our time together as a community at prayer will be
the support and consolation we need to say, “Yes, Your will be done!”

Dates: Friday, March 20, through Sunday, March 22
