Reflection

Kindness goes beyond merely being nice. Being kind is intentional and voluntary.  It involves being selfless, caring and compassionate. We share love with others through a supportive smile, a nice word, a comforting embrace, or a helping hand. We make people feel good; we pass along hope; we promote peace. Kindness is all the different ways we express care, concern, and consideration. When life is difficult, kindness helps us to persevere despite our troubles. It is a reminder of who we are and can be for one another. To experience kindness is to know love In action.

Prayer

Your lovingkindness is before my eyes: and I have walked in your truth.
Psalm 26

Action

Reflect on the meaning and power of kindness. Choose a way to practice kindness. Work toward an attitude of kindness and respect for all others.
