Reflection
We are living in an amazing time in the history of the human race. We live in a time of cultural breakdown and transition. The way in which we weave the web of our lives will contribute in one way or another to the shaping of a new age and a new world, being ushered into the present more rapidly than we suspect…As in every major transition, our time, our age, holds potential for massive breakdown and disintegration as well as for profound transformation, a forward leap into human consciousness and spiritual awakening. Of one thing we can be certain: the systems we have known in the past, the systems we have painstakingly created over the past centuries, are breaking down…How our future develops, indeed, how this new era of human history develops, depends in no small degree on choices made by human beings like ourselves.

We need to put our heads together collectively and devise a society that works in a different way: [one] that is prepared, that rethinks our relationship with climate, with our great cities, and rethinks this myth that we can grow infinitely in our numbers and in our economic systems until there’s only standing room and nothing but smog to breathe…We can build a different world, a better world, a world where our grandchildren can live better.
