Reflection

Jesus had expectations of his apostles. They were ordinary men leading simple lives. There was nothing remarkable about them except the potential he saw. He called them to become something special and they responded…not perfectly, not without limitations, but with confidence because they had been chosen. They knew he saw what they could do and they felt responsible to try.

That’s also our responsibility- to live in a way that makes a difference – a way that is not bland and unimaginative but one that sees clearly the fullness of life’s meaning and flavors the lives of others with new hope.

Prayer

May we be light and salt in our world.

Action

Consider how In your day to day life you can make a difference.
