Reflection

“Be known for what you are, and make your actions harbingers of a better future.”  We need to remember that we can raise our voices on behalf of those without voice, those held powerless, those whose lives are not expressing the majesty of creation or the image of God. We need to remember than we can go that extra mile, take that courageous action, remind that powerful someone that peace and right relationships will only come through justice. We need not be hesitant to be known for what we are. Our moral and verbal support can be used to encourage those who are joining together to challenge and confront injustice. There is need for us to hold the actions of those in leadership in all arenas to a level of accountability. We need not only remember but to act within our capabilities to help create a better future.

Prayer

Help me to be a part of the creation of a world where unity and peace have come, in some way, through your action in me.

Action

What is possible for me to do in order to help create the “reign of God” in our world? With whom can I join my efforts?
