What is the PRO-SE Model?
The PRO-SE Model is an innovative approach that helps individuals represent themselves (“pro se”) in their immigration cases - with professional guidance and support along the way.
Instead of full attorney representation, participants receive expert assistance, education, and resources that empower them to complete and manage their own immigration applications confidently and correctly.
Through this model, people learn about the immigration process, gain the tools they need to advocate for themselves, and receive step-by-step help from trained legal staff and volunteers.

Because of the PRO-SE Model, the Long Island Immigration Clinic is able to serve more people, expanding access to high-quality, affordable immigration support.
