Reflection

Hope is an act of human courage that refuses to cherish the present too much or be reduced to despair by present circumstance. Hope is the capacity to relinquish the present for the sake of what is imagined to be a reachable future…Hope in the end is a contradiction of the dominant version of reality…it is at the root of human well-being, for ourselves as for all our would-be neighbors.
 Walter Brueggemann

Prayer

All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of things shall be well.
Julian of Norwich

Action

Try to turn your discouragement and impatience into some positive action. Do what you can to improve things. Be confident that you can help create the future.

The very least you can do in your life is figure out what you hope for. And the most you can do is live inside that hope. Not admire it from a distance but live right in it, under its roof.
