Spring is a metaphor for change. Some changes we eagerly await, and some we abhor. Some changes we plan and others arrive uninvited. In all these changes we need perspective to bring us to expectation, hope, and rebirth. The sunlight and the rain are reminders that Earth is being renewed. The God of renewal is always present in our lives. Every new day is a symbol of hope. Every new flower is a symbol of beauty. Every new birth is a symbol of God’s lifegiving love. Spring awakens us to new life and perspective and the ongoing changes of life.
Source of Life, make all things new.
Notice how natural life renews itself and shows hope. Notice the beauty around you. Be aware of the birthing of life and the development of living things. Apply it to your own life.
See, I will create new heavens and a new earth. The former things will not be remembered, nor will they come to mind.
God has made everything beautiful in its time.
The universe unfolds in God, who fills it completely. Hence, there is a mystical meaning to be found in a leaf, in a mountain trail, in a dewdrop, in a poor person’s face. The ideal is not only to pass from the exterior to the interior to discover the action of God in the soul, but also to discover God in all things.
You are reborn with the roses, in every spring.
Juan Ramón Jiménez
Spring is painted in daffodil yellows, robin egg blues, new grass green and the brightness of hope for a better life.
It’s exciting to see things coming up again, plants that you’ve had twenty or thirty years. It’s like seeing an old friend.
Life stands before me like an eternal spring with new and brilliant clothes.
Carl Friedrich Gauss
I can still bring into my body the joy I felt at seeing the first trillium of spring, which seemed to be telling me, “Never give up hope, spring will come.
Spring is far more than just a changing of seasons; it’s a rebirth of the spirit.
Spring is sweet season of renewal.
