Reflection

Wisdom is often considered the first and most perfect gift. Through wisdom, the things of our world are judged from the vantage point of contemplation. It helps us to love the world properly as the creation of God. The wise person has insight into people and situations, combined with an understanding of what to do and how to do it. It is the ability to not only see, but also to apply knowledge, experience, and a deep understanding which  incorporates tolerance for the uncertainties of life. Wise people generally share an optimism that life’s problems can be solved and experience a certain amount of calm in facing difficult decisions. Their wisdom includes a sense of proportion and good judgment.

Prayer

Grant us wisdom which is more precious than success, wealth, or acclaim. Let our words and actions be guided by wisdom this day.

Action

Today I will pray for the gift of wisdom and attempt to be attentive to the leading of the Holy Spirit which is infinite unconditional love.
