Reflection

As our lives seem to be speeding by, we sometimes experience longings that are signals to us of our deep desire for God. In the midst of a happy and satisfied life, there comes an insight that within us there is a desire for something more profound. There also come moments when we feel a union with nature, the universe, another person, or are moved by the beauty and innocence of a child or a loved pet. These moments touch a deep well of peace and joy within us. There is an awareness of indefinable Mystery. God is near.

Prayer

May I become more attentive to God’s presence and action in my daily routine. May I be aware of those things which block my living fully.

Action

At the end of the day reflect on how God’s presence was part of your day. Reflect for a few moments on such experiences in your life.
