Sister Joan Ann Rogers, CSJ
Joan entered the congregation in 1953 and lived a life filled with prayer and joy with a spirit-filled faith. As an educator and counselor, she loved deeply, shared joyfully, and ministered with a listening heart, grace and compassion. To each of these she brought her love of community, her gift of listening, and her kindness to all. Joan shared God’s inclusive love in her community life and various ministries.
We remember that Joan lived her 86 years as an example to each and every person she met that love is an action – and the practice of giving ourselves to others is the truest way to honor God. During her time here on earth, including her 67 years in our congregation, we count ourselves blessed by the sacrament of her life and for this we are grateful.
Sister Joan Ann Rogers, CSJ died on April 27, 2020 in the 67th year of her religious life.
