Our hearts are heavy with the news of today’s violence at our Nation’s Capitol. In the spirit of our Charism we pray for healing and reconciliation among all our sisters and brothers. We ask that all join in prayer for an end to violence and for the safety of all. It is an unfortunate reality that our Nation is experiencing an appalling and profound surge of violence. We have witnessed an increase in the number of violent conflicts around the Nation and now more than ever we must intensify our efforts to pray for peace.
God of Unity,
ever aware of our own brokenness
and the brokenness of the world,
we ask you to touch our hearts
and heal the divisions in our nation.
Breathe your spirit within us so we may be your
healing presence of hope
and unioning love in our world.
