Census Awareness at St. Anne’s Annual Parish Festival

The Justice Peace and Integrity of Creation (JPIC) Office kicked off its first Census Awareness event in Brentwood at St. Anne’s Annual parish festival on Sunday, July 28, 2019.  The Sisters partnered with the Bay Shore Women’s Huddle to provide information to the attendees about the importance of the 2020 Census for their community and how federal funds are allocated for roads, schools, hospitals, entitlement programs, etc.  Brentwood is one of the most undercounted areas in NYS, so these outreach efforts are critical to ensuring that each person is counted.  The team also registered voters and made community connections — all done in the spirit of uniting all in our God’s love.
