Fontbonne Students Advocate for Climate Action

On March 8th, 2022, which is also internationally known as Women’s Day, 14 Fontbonne students went to Albany, New York on the sponsored program “NY Renews”, for a peaceful protest. They advocated for the state to include $15 billion to be put into the state budget to help with environmental policies and plans of action. The goal was to ask Governor Hochul to set aside money to help make the state of New York more sensitive to climate change, and essentially make the state more “green.” The students learned that it is necessary to use their voices to enact change.
