Baton Rouge Flood DamageSister Chris Pologa, CSJ, from our Albany Province, who teaches at St. Joseph’s Academy in Baton Rouge, has asked us to try to get as much help as possible. Nearly 50 percent or 500 of their students have been flooded out in the Baton Rouge flooding, have lost everything and are in shelters. Because they lived in “flood-safe” areas, very few had flood insurance. In addition, the father of one of their seniors, was washed away while helping neighbors.

First, Sister Chris asks for prayers for the families as they try to get their lives back together.

Second, gift cards to the following are greatly appreciated: Lowe’s, Home Depot, Target, Sam’s Club, Walmart, Walgreen’s, CVS, Rite Aid, JC Penney’s, Family Dollar, Dollar General and Bed, Bath and Beyond. Gift cards can be mailed to: Sister Chris Pologa, CSJ, SJA Disaster Relief, 3134 Hundred Oaks Drive, Baton Rouge, LA 70808.

Third, checks are always helpful (made out to SJA Disaster Relief and mailed to Sister Chris at the same address).

Lastly, online donations are welcome. The site for donations is: https://apply.sjabr.org/advancement/advancement—disaster-relief?erid=44064&trid=2bab953c-7b63-445f-92f3-b02911ce1bba.
