Sister_Janet_Kinney_Portrait_Picture[1] (2)Faith in Public Life, NETWORK, Sisters of Mercy, Adrian Dominican Sisters and other key partners are launching the Sisters in Public Leadership Project. Women Religious do incredible work for justice and compassion every day, and it often goes unrecognized. The moment is ripe to highlight Sisters’ voices and leadership.

Scheduled for March 3-4, \the project  will consist of an intensive one-and-a-half day training for sisters on media skills, messaging, advocacy and strategy. It hopes to surface rising leaders who want to be public voices for justice, compassion and the common good.

Janet Kinney was nominated on behalf of the Justice Committee. This nomination was then followed by an additional survey instrument that she completed in early December regarding her background, experience and interest in the project.

Janet has been selected.  There will be approximately a dozen sisters from across the country who will be participating.  It is scheduled to be held March 3-4 in Washington D.C.
