Reflection

We are living in a difficult time in history but there have been difficult periods before. It is a time when we need those whose thinking can be creative. Creativity requires courage. It means taking what is ordinary and presenting it from a different perspective and in a new arrangement. It becomes a new thing, a break away from the usual. This carries the risk of rejection but also the possibility of progress. We are in a time that calls us to be open and willing to take a chance on another way of living. Holding on to what is comfortable might cause us to reject our opportunity for a more whole and meaningful future.

Prayer

May we have  the courage to recognize truth in whatever form it comes.

Action

Do you  find yourself mired in a sense of cynicism and lack of hope? Are you stuck in “the way it always is” ? Do you regard creative ideas and new approaches with suspicion? How can you develop a healthy and common sense openness to new ideas?
