Reflection

How can we achieve the wisdom that should be reflected in our living? Wisdom is not merely knowing how to live, but how to live together – how to live as people who claim to accept the values expressed in the gospel of Jesus. Wisdom is to see and believe in the Divine Presence as revealed in all creation.  It is the wisdom that opens us to justice, love, and compassion without exception. It fills us with awe, reverence and insight. This is the wisdom that enables us to live in harmony. This is the wisdom that connects us with the sacred. This is the wisdom that enables us to separate our thinking from the fallacies floated as truth.

Prayer

You will show me the path to life, fullness of joy in your presence,
Psalm 16:11

Action

Reflect on the meaning of wisdom as implied in the Scriptures.
Where do you see it in the life of the Christian community?
Where is it lacking? How do you reflect wisdom? Where do you need to change?

Blessed is the one who finds wisdom, the one who gains understanding, for she is more profitable than silver and yields better returns than gold. Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace. She is a tree of life to those who embrace her; those who lay hold of her will be blessed.
