Reflection
There is in each of us a desire for unity. It as much a part of who we are as our other needs and desires. We tend to make it complicated but something so deep in us has to be more simple and attainable if only we take time to pay attention. This is not an exercise but an ongoing dimension of life –not something we do but something we are. It is a conscious awareness of our unity with one another and all creation in God, the Source of all life. To ignore this and to remain the center of our own lives prevents us from moving beyond ourselves. Then we are not satisfied because there is no space in us for God or anyone else.
Prayer
May I love God with all my being and all neighbors as myself.

Reflect on your inner desires. What deprives you of peace and inner harmony? Try to be more aware of your own place in the unity of all life.
