Reflection

When weather events are threatening, we abruptly realize the distortion of our climate. But, at other times do we really pay attention? Every day we are dependent on Earth not only for our bodily survival but also for the renewal of our spirits. We have a deep connection with the essence of our planet home. Even if we live in the city, our human bond with Earth requires a piece of green, a patch of blue, the freshness of wind and the song of birds. We need the touch of our natural environment to nourish us in mind and body and to continually “blow new strength into our beings.”

Prayer

May the rain wash away your worries, may the breeze blow new strength into your being.
