Sister Florence Therese Sarsfield, CSJ

We celebrate the life of Sister Florence Therese Sarsfield who entered into eternal life while residing at Maria Regina Residence. Florence entered the congregation in 1949 and spent her 71 years in religious life in prayer and joy with a spirit-filled faith and devotion to Mary, Our Blessed Mother. She was an educator who loved deeply. In addition to teaching, she generously gave of herself in reaching out and helping the elderly who needed assistance. In her quiet way she used her gift of listening and ministered with understanding, compassion, and dignity.
We remember that Florence lived her 89 years as an example to each and every person she met that love is an action and the practice of giving ourselves to others is the truest way to honor God. During her time here on earth, including her 71 years in our congregation, we count ourselves blessed by the sacrament of her life and for this we are grateful.
Sister Florence Therese Sarsfield, CSJ died on April 25, 2020 in the 71st year of her religious life.
