Wherever we are people are being impacted by our presence. We project either peace and joyfulness or distress and unhappiness. Words are not necessary. People who are in our presence can either feel enhanced or depleted. Our inner attitudes are projected as either life-giving or de-energizing. We create an atmosphere for those with whom we live, those with whom we work, for those who are observing. Every day we create life by who we are.
Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.
Absorb the fact that your life is really significant. Reflect on the impact you have on people around you.
Let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to God who is in heaven.
You are the salt of the earth, but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.
Be who God meant you to be and you will set the world on fire.
Catherine of Siena
It’s the action, not the fruit of the action, that’s important. You have to do the right thing. It may not be in your power, may not be in your time, that there’ll be any fruit. But that doesn’t mean you stop doing the right thing. You may never know what results come from your action. But if you do nothing, there will be no result.
The purpose of life is to contribute in some way to making things better.
Robert F. Kennedy
A life is not important except in the impact it has on other lives.
In every day, there are 1,440 minutes. That means we have 1,440 daily opportunities to make a positive impact.
If you think you’re too small to have an impact, try going to bed with a mosquito.
We create waves of energy that wash over people in our presence – waves that can lull and comfort or lash and damage.
You never know when a moment and a few sincere words can have an impact on a life.
No one knows for certain how much impact they have on the lives of other people. Oftentimes, we have no clue.
You are here to make a difference, to either improve the world or worsen it. And whether or not you consciously choose to, you will accomplish one or the other.
Richelle E. Goodrich
