There exists a special relationship between trees and humans. They have been given deep meaning through the ages. The ancient symbol of the Tree represents physical and spiritual nourishment. Trees play a role in many mythologies and religions. They are seen as powerful symbols of growth and resurrection, transformation and liberation, union and fertility. The balance of our environment is more and more in need of trees.
Trees provide the air that nurtures all creation and recycle the elements of life. They generate the oxygen we breathe, raise and lower thousands of gallons of water against gravity each season, purify rain that falls to the ground and send it out of leaves through transpiration. Through photosynthesis trees capture carbon dioxide and sunlight, and with water transform this to sugar to nourish us The carbon captured by trees is stored as wood and can provide heat to warm us, shade to cool us, and material for building our homes. Destruction of forests destroys the not only the trees but also the habitats of others whose home is also this planet.
Trees are our good friends, our selfless.benefactors who offer us and our animal neighbors food, comfort and beauty. We are responsible to protect, plant, and nurture these life-sustaining neighbors, our trees. How sad that we use them so selfishly and do not offer respect to them.
Let all the trees of the forest sing for joy.
Reflect on the beauty and variety of trees. Absorb their Springtime foliage. Think of what a marvel each tree is.

He also said, “With what can we compare the kingdom of God, or what parable will we use for it? It is like a mustard seed, which, when sown upon the ground, is the smallest of all the seeds on earth; yet when it is sown it grows up and becomes the greatest of all shrubs, and puts forth large branches, so that the birds of the air can make nests in its shade.”
I am the vine, you are the branches. Those who abide in me and I in them bear much fruit, because apart from me you can do nothing.
The trees of the Lord are watered abundantly, the cedars of Lebanon that he planted. In them the birds build their nests; the stork has its home in the fir trees.
The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The next best time is now.
They are beautiful in their peace, they are wise in their silence. They will stand after we are dust. They teach us, and we tend them.
Galeain ip Altiem MacDunelmor
The tree which moves some to tears of joy is in the eyes of others only a green thing that stands in the way.
What did the tree learn from the earth
to be able to talk with the sky?
It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men’s hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.
Robert Louis Stevenson
If we’re destroying our trees and destroying our environment and hurting animals and hurting one another and all that stuff, there’s got to be a very powerful energy to fight that. I think we need more love in the world. We need more kindness, more compassion, more joy, more laughter. I definitely want to contribute to that.
If a man walks in the woods for love of them half of each day, he is in danger of being regarded as a loafer. But if he spends his days as a speculator, shearing off those woods and making the earth bald before her time, he is deemed an industrious and enterprising citizen.
Henry David Thoreau
God has cared for these trees, saved them from drought, disease, avalanches, and a thousand tempests and floods. But God cannot save them from fools.
Suburbia is where the developer bulldozes out the trees, then names the streets after them.
