April 8

Eventually in life, there comes a point when we realize that everything we encounter and everyone we meet can be a teacher. Teachers challenge us to reach the fullness of our potential. They have the ability to inspire us, to shape our thinking, to open us to the wonder of learning and the excitement of discovery. Teachers have the power to shape our thinking and attitudes. Their influence is enduring. Under their influence we become learners who are receptive, humble, and open to see all life as an experience in which we can learn and develop. People and events that come into our lives can be transformative if we recognize their influence and accept it.

Make me know Your ways, O God; Teach me Your paths.
Psalm 25

Contemplate the events and persons who have contributed to your own growth.
Accept new influences and experiences with an open mind and heart.
