August 5

Let us reflect on the limits we have put on the work of God’s Spirit within us by our lack of understanding and awareness of God’s presence. We act as if we were disconnected from God and our world. Often our words and actions foster disconnectedness. We lack concern for social justice and environmental issues. We are privileged to give God human expression. Let us reflect on the life of Jesus who showed us how to do this.

May the presence of God in us find expression in our thoughts and actions.

How do my words and actions cause disconnectedness? To what does my reflection call me?
