Jesus did not come exclusively for people with white skin,
nor did he come only for black people. He did not come simply
for Europeans or just for people in other parts of the world. Christ
came for the whole of humankind. That means he also came for
each one of us. It also means a feast for all of us, joy for all of us
and freedom and peace for all of us.
O God, source of all being, give us the grace and wisdom to
embrace all people and all creation as your holy gift. Help us to treat
all other beings with reverence and respect.

Our task must be to free ourselves… by widening our circle of compassion to embrace all living creatures and the whole of nature and its beauty.
