Reflection

The new year does not undo the difficulties of the year that has passed but it does generate a new sense of hope. God’s abiding presence will be with us in every hour of this new year. Each new moment will have the potential of being a fresh beginning, a moment of developing personal harmony and peace. The days and weeks to come are a gift. We welcome them. It is a time for new beginnings, unexpected surprises, and the renewal of the joy of living life fully. We trust that this year will be a graced time, a time to grow in love, and a time to renew a commitment to living the message and vision of Jesus. By living our personal peace, we can contribute to communal peace and ultimately to peace on this earth.

Prayer

May I always be grateful for the gift of time.
