Reflection
“Master, I want to see.” The simple sincerity of that request holds all the pain and desire of his life. “I want to see.” How does that echo in the spiritual quest of each of us? There are blind spots that paralyze and confuse us. We all have them. Sometimes they are so ingrained that we do not even recognize their presence. The blind man had the unique experience of hearing Jesus was near. He took a risk and he was rewarded with sight. We too have these moments – a person, a situation, an unexpected experience comes into our lives. God is near. The impact enables us to risk asking: “I want to see”. Once that question is verbalized, whether interiorly or exteriorly, transformation is possible.
Prayer
Master, I want to see.
Mark 10:46 – 52
Action
Reflect on what prevents you from seeing clearly. Have you been offered a chance to”see”? Have you taken the risk? Where are you now?
