The first month of this year has passed. Where has this precious time gone? How have our lives unfolded? What of the hopes we cherished on New Years Day? Have our days passed in preoccupation and bustle? Have we been distracted from our desire for a new beginning? It is time to reflect and to renew our enthusiasm and resolve.
Grant to me, O God, a heart renewed. Recreate in me Your Spirit.
I will review my “resolutions” at the new year, choose what is possible and move ahead with renewed resolve.
To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:
And I am sure that the One who began a good work in you will complete it.
Do you love life? Then do not waste time; for time is the stuff that life is made of.
There is never enough time to do everything, but there is always enough time to do the most important thing.
Half our life is spent trying to find something to do with the time we have rushed through life trying to save.
Because I know that time is always time
And place is always and only place
And what is actual is actual only for one time
And only for one place
I rejoice that things are as they are…
T.S. Eliot, Ash Wednesday
The Present is a Point just passed.
Know how to live the time that is given you.
