“Contemplation is a long, loving look at what is real. How often we are fooled by what mimics the real. Indeed we live in a culture that flaunts the phony and lives on wild fabrication. We are so bombarded by the superficial and the trivial that we can lose our bearings and give ourselves over to a way of living that drains us of our humanity. .. Caught up in contemplative awareness and rooted in love, we begin to break free from cultural confines and embrace the truth that lies at the heart of all reality: all are one. ..We must all become contemplatives, not merely in the way we reflect or pray but in the way we live – awake, alert, ready to respond in love to the groanings of creation. Human life depends on our living this way.”

Lord, teach me the truth that will set me free.
What does contemplative awareness mean to me? How can I develp it in my daily life?
” Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to God except through me.”
So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed in him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
Therefore, having put away falsehood, let each one of you speak the truth with his neighbor, for we are members one of another.
A day spent without the sight or sound of beauty, the contemplation of mystery, or the search of truth or perfection is a poverty-stricken day; and a succession of such days is fatal to human life.
If we know the divine art of concentration, if we know the divine art of meditation, if we know the divine art of contemplation, easily and consciously we can unite the inner world and the outer world.
Meditation, quiet time, appreciating nature, and prayer can help you cope with even the most minor of hassles so they don’t become major burdens. Try finding twenty minutes today to pay attention to a spiritual need. I’ll make time for prayer and peaceful contemplation today, to help me become quiet and calm.

The Universe contains three things that cannot be destroyed; Being, Awareness and LOVE.
The ultimate value of life depends upon awareness and the power of contemplation rather than upon mere survival.
It is a wholesome and necessary thing for us to turn again to the earth and in the contemplation of her beauties to know of wonder and humility.
