Reflection

Sometimes we feel drained of energy and nothing really registers on our consciousness. Sometimes we live in a whirl of distractions, everything registers, and we don’t know what to do with it. We can’t focus and we feel scattered and stressed. We are caught up in activity and we do not pay attention to the people and events around us. We live a jumble of experiences without awareness, without a grasp of their significance. We miss any evidence of our connection with others and with the presence of the Spirit who binds us together. To live with appreciation we need to calm ourselves and try to live with attentiveness to what is happening around us and within us.

Prayer

May I live with a sense of awareness.

Action

Notice details. Keep your mind focused on whatever you are doing, wherever you are and with whomever you are at the moment.
