 Reflection

The Holy Spirit is Jesus’ “first gift to those who believe, to complete his work on earth, and bring us the fullness of grace”. They were not to be survivors reminiscing until death about those few glorious years he was with them. To let the vision die in the memories of old men was not acceptable. Jesus was about creating a better world. “Go and make disciples of all the nations. Teach them to carry out everything I have commanded you.” They were to be on their way to new uncharted lands. Just as he did, his disciples were sent to try to renew the face of the earth. Their lives were not ending, but beginning

Prayer

Come Holy Spirit and renew the face of the earth.

Action

Spend this day before Pentecost reflecting on the gifts of the Holy Spirit.  What is the special gift I can bring to others?
