“…we were determined to share with you
not only the gospel of God, but our very selves as well.”
I Thessalonians 2:7b-9
Our society has become numbed for lack of truth. We know that words come to life within a person. Who we are akways speaks louder than what we say. It is easy to speak in pious language but usually our listeners carry away no long term new convictions. But, being in contact with another whose presence reveals an inner spirituality which touches our own desires can be truly inspiring. As people of integrity, we need not hide behind safe words. We are called not only to share the truth of the gospel but also to share it living in our very selves.
May I speak the truth in love.
Am I afraid to speak what I truly believe? Do my words allow others to understand my beliefs and aspirations? Where do I share my very self?
I am the way, the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father but through Me.
Sometimes our light goes out but is blown into flame by another human being. Each of us owes deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this light.
Never, for the sake of peace and quiet, deny your own experience or convictions.
Truth is by nature self-evident. As soon as you remove the cobwebs of ignorance that surround it, it shines clear.
In the last analysis, what we are communicates far more eloquently than anything we say or do.
Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change
the world. Indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.
We too often bind ourselves by authorities rather than by the truth.
If you put a small value upon yourself, rest assured that the world will not raise your price.
