Reflection

Through the stranger, we are given a chance to find ourselves.  And through the stranger, God finds us and offers us the gift of wholeness in the midst of our own estranged lives.  Hospitality is the way we come out of ourselves. It is the first step toward dismantling the barriers of the world.  It is the way we turn a prejudiced world around, one heart at a time.  We image God by reaching across differences to participate in God’s actions of bringing love, justice, union and healing to our world. Parker Palmer

Prayer

May I be a welcoming presence.

Action

Try to live with an attitude of hospitality and welcome to help to break down barriers whether they be actual or attitudinal.
