We may feel powerless in the face of the large and small hostilities lacerating our planet, but we are not. Peace, both individual and global, begins with us. When we embrace a spiritual path that brings tranquility to our hearts and minds, we are taking the first step toward bringing peace to the world. Inner calmness will create gentle speech and moral actions, and we will replace self-absorption and ill will with a genuine caring for others. As we bring these qualities to communications with our families and friends, people we work with, and those in public life who serve us, we radiate peace out into the world.
Jean Smith, Now! The Art of Being Truly Present
Peace be to you. Shalom.
Be committed to not harming others through thoughts, words, or actions. Focus on reflecting peace to all beings with whom you share this earth. Practice peace by refusing to participate in violence either directly or indirectly.
I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.
A harvest of righteousness is sown in peace by those who make peace.
Never be in a hurry; do everything quietly and in a calm spirit. Do not lose your inner peace for anything whatsoever, even if your whole world seems upset.
Saint Francis de Sales
There is a criterion by which you can judge whether the thoughts you are thinking and the things you are doing are right for you. The criterion is: Have they brought you inner peace?
Each one has to find his peace from within. And peace to be real must be unaffected by outside circumstances.
We can only help make our lives and our world more peaceful, when we ourselves feel peace. Peace already exists within each of us, if we only allow ourselves to feel its comfort. Peace of mind begins when we stop thinking about how far we have to go, or how hard the road has been, and just let ourselves feel peace. Peace of mind gives us the strength to keep trying and keep walking along the path that we know is right for our lives.
If there is light in the soul, there will be beauty in the person. If there is beauty in the person, there will be harmony in the house. If there is harmony in the house, there will be order in the nation. If there is order in the nation, there will be peace in the world.
For peace of mind, we need to resign as general manager of the universe.
First keep the peace within yourself, then you can also bring peace to others.
Thomas a Kempis
Peace is not a relationship of nations. It is a condition of mind brought about by a serenity of soul… Lasting peace can come only to peaceful people.”
Radiant Peace is being yourself and helping others feel better about themselves. When you help somebody, you’re not just helping somebody you’re helping the world. What I mean by helping the world is that you’re helping somebody live a great life in the world and that helps the world!

Animals have many unique ways that bring us Radiant Peace. When dogs sense that we are sad or down, they might simply just sit at our side or jump in our lap as a way of saying “I love you,” or “I’m here for you.”…I think that if people in today’s world had the kind of compassion that animals have for us, the world would be full of many Radiant Peacemakers.
