Reflection

Now that Thanksgiving Day has passed all the thoughts of gratitude we summoned need to be carried forward.  Having reflected on God’s gifts, it is time to share them without expecting something in return. It is time to continue to recognize the blessings in each passing day. We can move on with our lives, happy at having what we need and wise enough to know what it is we want and don’t need. Let us try not to be caught up in the frenzy of shopping and rather take time to steep ourselves in this hope filled season. Most of all, as we try to align our lives with Gospel priorities we can join together to use our talents to help build the reign of God.

Prayer

Gracious God, give us generous hearts.

Action

I will try to keep in my heart a deep center of gratitude.
