October 10

Life is our greatest gift. We cannot imagine not existing and yet at one time we did not.
We have been gifted by God with vitality, passion and awareness. Although life
has its difficult times, it is also filled with love and beauty. It would be a tragedy if
we missed living each day aware that God is revealed in the beauty of creation- in the
life of each creature and the elements of earth’s landscape. In gratitude for what we have,
we are impelled to reach out and share the gifts of life with those whose unfortunate
circumstances mar the beauty of their lives. Part of our gratitude for life can be expressed
by the depths of our compassion for others and our work for justice.

May I be fully alive this day

Today I will try to be grateful for the gift of my life and the wonder of this world.
