Without using the technical language of modern science, we can say that our consciousness extends beyond space and time and we can connect with one another and the entire universe in powerful and healing ways far beyond what we have believed. “At the deepest level of consciousness division disappears. All is One.”(Bede Griffiths, OSB). Love for God and our love for one another are united here. Our individual lives as well as our lives in relationship have an effect on the whole. When we join together in prayer we can generate a force that has transformative power. We join our positive energy to that of all those seeking God and to the possibility of this growing positive force bringing about the reign of God in our world.
May my prayer be a positive force on this earth.
Read some of the scientific material being written about the unity of all. Reflect that your thoughts and your life make a difference in the whole and that can bring about change.
Jesus told his disciples a parable about the necessity for them to pray always without becoming weary.
Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—
Our prayer cannot be reduced to an hour on Sundays. It is important to have a daily relationship with the Lord.
Science today can actually be found on the side of prayer, even as many of our traditionalist models for approaching ultimate reality are collapsing, and chaos seems to prevail everywhere.
I do believe we’re all connected. I do believe in positive energy. I do believe in the power of prayer. I do believe in putting good out into the world. And I believe in taking care of each other.
Let everyone try and find that as a result of daily prayer he adds something new to his life, something with which nothing can be compared.
God has stored within our minds and personalities, great potential strength and ability. Prayer helps us tap and develop these powers.
The fewer the words, the better the prayer.
Prayer is mans greatest power!
W. Clement Stone
Prayer is more than meditation. In meditation the source of strength is one’s self. When one prays he goes to a source of strength greater than his own.
