Reflection

Dissatisfaction seems to surround us and it’s nearly impossible to escape it. Our days and our monologues are fractured by complaining, blame, and judgments. We need to try to focus on the brighter side of things. “Optimism is the belief that good things will happen to you and that negative events are temporary setbacks to be overcome.” Optimism is a good counter to negativity. It keeps our minds at ease, fights stress, and lifts our spirits when things go wrong. It serves as a life preserver in these tense times.

Prayer

May we be strong and courageous not frightened, or dismayed, for the Lord our God is with us wherever we go.

Action

Practice looking at all the good things in your life. Practice being grateful and try to keep negativity out of your perspectives.
