Reflection

We need each other and our abilities and talents to make the world what it ought to be, We need teachers to share and explain the message of Christ; we need people with the gifts of prayer and faith to help carry those who are struggling; we need people who are gifted with their hands and imagination to create words, pictures, and images that present the gospel in a real and tangible way; we need people who have the gift of mercy and compassion to reach out and identify with those in need and we need people who can broaden our vision of ways in which we can reach out to people in our community and our world. We who are used to being independent and self-sufficient need to realize that we are also interdependent. We are gifted to serve.

Prayer

O God, help me to use my gifts for the good of all.

Action

What talent or gift do I have that can contribute to the good of my family, workplace, community? Have I shared it? What can I do?
